Claude for churches and ministries
Claude is an AI model from Anthropic. Stabil uses it two ways for ministries: Claude Duet, which works across your apps on your own account, checking with you before it acts, and Claude as the default engine for custom Your Crew workers like Pearl. AI training is turned off on the accounts set up with our help.
Grok Bot is a product of SpaceXAI. Claude and Claude Duet are products of Anthropic. Stabil Systems is an independent company and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by SpaceXAI, xAI, or Anthropic. Product names belong to their owners.
Claude Duet and custom workers: what is the difference?
Stabil helps churches and ministries set up Claude in two ways. The choice depends on how quickly you want to start and how closely the setup should follow your own processes.
- Claude Duet is one of the ready-made Your Crew platforms: Claude working across your apps on your own account, checking with you before it acts. It is the fastest way to start.
- Custom workers, like Pearl, are trained closely on how your ministry runs and hosted on a private server in your own account. Claude is the default engine, and an offline model on your own computers is the other option.
Either way, it is the same Your Crew: the same roles, the same approvals, and the same setup steps. Some people call these Claude agents or a Claude assistant for the church; what matters is that each one has a clear job and a person who approves its work.
Claude for the church office and church secretary work.
In the church office, Claude keeps the routine moving and brings decisions to your staff. A few of the jobs it takes on, from the Your Crew catalog:
- Daily briefing for the pastorSends the lead pastor a short morning note: today’s schedule, urgent messages, and anything that needs a decision.
- Meeting follow-upsDrafts the follow-up email after a meeting with the notes and next steps, ready for staff to send.
- A shared inbox staff can forward toYour worker gets its own address, like pearl@yourchurch.org, that your staff can email or forward work to. It drafts replies in your voice for staff to send.
- Your ministry brainGathers your policies, handbooks, minutes, and files into one organized brain. Every worker answers from it, with sources.
A ministry office at a camp, school, or mission agency uses the same setup, with its own policies and calendar written into the playbook.
Claude for church communications.
Claude writes well, which makes it a strong fit for church communications. It can draft the weekly newsletter, turn each sermon into a readable blog post with a link to watch, write titles and chapter times for sermon videos, and translate announcements for Spanish speakers and other language groups. For ministry communications such as supporter update letters, it drafts from your field notes. Your staff review anything prepared for people outside your office and send it themselves.
Claude for volunteer scheduling.
For church volunteer scheduling, Claude builds serving schedules around each person’s availability and blackout dates and drafts serving reminders for staff to send. It can also track new volunteers through forms, training, and background checks, draft each next-step message for staff to send, then tell the leader they are ready.
Claude for church administration.
Claude handles the paperwork side of church administration carefully: checking expense reimbursements against your policy, assembling the monthly finance committee packet for the treasurer, and preparing year-end giving statements, checked against the ledger and ready for staff to send. Money never moves on its own. People approve every payment.
Claude for pastors and small churches.
Pastors use Claude for the support work around ministry: sermon research with background notes and cross references, a small group guide with discussion questions from Sunday’s message, and care appointments booked, with reminders drafted for staff to send. It does not write your sermon or replace pastoral care.
For small churches and small ministries, Claude Duet is usually the simplest start: one role, one job, and your own account. Start with something weekly and easy to check, then add more. The guide to AI for churches has ideas for that first job.
Claude in CampOS AI Studio.
If you run CampOS, you can connect a Claude plan you already have, and Pearl works across your Rock records. That is separate from Your Crew: AI Studio is the assistant inside CampOS, and CampOS adds no AI fee.
How setup works.
Whether you choose Claude Duet or custom workers, every setup goes through the same six steps before it touches real work:
- We learn your ministry. We sit with your staff and map how the office really runs.
- We help you write its playbook. Your processes, calendar, tone, and rules become clear written steps it follows every time.
- We help you connect your tools, and only the ones you authorize.
- We help you set the guardrails. Your staff send every outside message themselves, and anything that involves money waits for a yes.
- We test it with your team, then train them. It works real tasks beside your staff until it gets them right.
- Your team runs it, and we stay close. Your staff and volunteers run it from day one. Managed services is recommended for the first year, with training so your people can run it themselves.
Read the full setup steps on the Your Crew page.
Your data.
On the accounts set up with our help, AI training is turned off, and your ministry owns the accounts and logins. For how Claude and the other platforms store your work, see the data details on the Your Crew page.
Claude or Grok Bot?
Both work well for office tasks. Claude Duet and custom workers suit offices whose work centers on files and writing, or that want workers on a private server. Grok Bot suits offices whose work lives across many web apps. We recommend one after a Plan Session, based on your tools and privacy needs.
Questions about Claude for churches
Is Stabil affiliated with Anthropic?
No. Stabil Systems is an independent company and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic.
What is Claude Duet?
A proactive agent from Anthropic that you message. It sends a morning brief across your connected apps, works on tasks in the background, and checks with you before it acts. It is a research preview with a waitlist for US Claude Pro and Max subscribers; Team and Enterprise plans are not included yet. It is one of the platforms Stabil helps set up for Your Crew.
Can Claude run on our own server?
Custom Your Crew workers run on a private server in your own account. If nothing should leave your building, we can use an offline model on your own computers instead of Claude.
How is Claude billed, and what does it usually cost?
The Claude account is in your ministry’s name and billed to your ministry directly by Anthropic, with no Stabil markup. Across the Your Crew setups we guide, that platform cost depends on the work. After your free call, Stabil quotes a guided install and managed services, recommended for the first year, with training so your staff and volunteers can run it themselves.
